We all worked with Fredrica at the Capitol Department Store in the 1960s and she gave us lots of insights into being a widow but having a good time. As I was only 17 years old at the time, she was always ready to give advice. I have thought of her so many times over the years. My condolences to the family.

My deapest sympathy to the family. "Fred" was my cousin. My grandmother was Ada Stoudenmire Shirer of Sumter, who died at the age of 98. Longevity seems to run in the family. I only learned of Fred's passing today. I was driving from my brother's home in Greenville to my home in Hilton Head and on an impulse I decided to detour to visit my grandparents and parents graves in Sumter. The Stoudenmire plot is in between those plots and I stopped when I saw the tent and beautiful wreath. I think Fred would be amused at this coincidence and she probably would have said "better late than never". She was always so upbeat and appreciative of a joke.

We were very sadden to hear about Fredrica's death. We appreciated the love that she showed our family during her lifetime by attending weddings, funerals, and other important famiy events. We loved Fredrica very much. As members of St. James Lutheran Church for many years, she was our true and dependable babysitter for our son, Aron. "Fred" and I participated in many church activities together. We spend many hours together at her home just visiting and admiring her favorite plants and flowers in her yard. Fredrica always wore her "ear bobs" and I still have a favorite pair she gave to me. She loved her family very much and she always kept me up to date on all of their activities. We will miss her very much.

I met Ms. Thrasher while I was a teller at the bank. What a breath of fresh air she was every time she came in! Tiny, full of vigor and energy, usually in between luncheon dates and club meetings - I used to tease her that she had more energy and a more exciting social life than I did! My family and I lived (at that time) around the corner from her Wllow Drive home. In the years since I left the bank, I've driven by her home and oftern wondered how she was doing. She was in inspiration - even to the bank teller she spoke to from time to time!
