Obituary of William Lee Ellenburg
CAMDEN – Funeral service for William Lee Ellenburg, 88, will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - Ridgeway Ward. The family will receive friends Saturday 3:00-4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Missionary Fund, 34 Chestnut Ferry Road, Camden, S.C. 29020.
Mr. Ellenburg died Thursday, June 21, 2012. Born in Easley, S.C., he was the son of the late William Franklin and Una Wilson Ellenburg. He served in the United States Army during WW II. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Camden Ward and was always involved in missionary work. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, collecting tools, and in his early years riding his motorcycle.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Eloise Easler Ellenburg; daughters, Alinda Stephens of Pendleton, S.C. and Kerry E. Connell (Joe) of Camden; son, Lee Byron Ellenburg of Camden; grandchildren, Benjamin Connell (Kristin), Naomi Connell, Campbell Connell (Holly), William Connell, Zachary Connell, Taylor Connell, Philip Caines (Melanie), Terry Caines, Mary Caines Rhinhart (Charles), Carrie Heath (Tony), Tammie Cothran, and Michael Stephens; and great-grandchildren, Emily Cothran, Gabriel, Miranda, and Asutin Stephens, Colby and Brandon Caines, Dashon and Mikala Caines, Breyonna, Porsha and Taleesa Rhinehart, Davontae, Tyler, Trenton and Anthony Heath, Sean Sumpter, Aryanna Connell, Nicolette Connell, and Annabelle Connell. He was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Caines; brothers, Carl, John, Lloyd, and Ramon; and sisters, Helen, Elsie, and Gladys.
