May God be near to you, and may He give each of you comfort and peace. Our beautiful daughter-in-law, Susan, spoke lovingly of Melanie through the past years. She was also a patient of Dr. Madden and loved him and his staff dearly. I believe they are together now rejoicing they are cancer-free and in the presence of Almighty God. You will remain in our prayers.

We have learned life would not be complete without both joy and pain. For those not yet called to heaven, there is no greater pain than the passing of a loved one. We have complete faith that with time this pain will become livable.... just as the heavy morning fog rises with the warming sun of another beautiful.
We will never understand the order in which God's children are called home. Nor do we believe this was ever intended
But we do understand that we too shall follow. And there is comfort in knowing family and friends earlier called home shall illuminate the way for us to follow.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. Trust and embrace your faith, a lasting peace will follow.

Melanie will be remembered in our hearts forever. She truely was a daughter of God and served Him her whole life. She has set the standard high on how we should live our lives through our trials. She reached out to me during the past year giving me encouragement to get through my husband's deployment and with my calling as Young Women's president (taking over after her release, I had big shoes to fill). It's hard to stop my heart from aching but I have peace knowing she is whole and well, free from her body that was only slowing her down. Sending comfort and prayers to Phil, Kobie and Brayden and the Bass family.

Our love to all of you for the loss of sweet Melanie. I can remember the days when she would visit her dad and leave sweet notes to surprise him when he would return to his desk. Melanie has always shown such Christlike qualities. She has always shown kindness to me and my family. We are so blessed to have walked with her. Our prayers are for Phil, her children, Ed and Sid, her siblings and to each of her family members, God bless you all. We love you.

I am so sorry to hear of Melanie's passing. I don't ever remember a time that I would run into her when she didn't have a kind word to say or a smile to give. Her kindness and thoughtfulness to my own father during his illness will never be forgotten. She embodied near perfection as a true follower of our Lord. I pray for you all during this difficult time.
