ELGIN – Funeral service for Evelyn Virginia McPherson Branham, 79, will be held Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Dan Griffin and Rev. Chris Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2:30–4:00 p.m. prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Branham died Sunday, July 08, 2012. Born in Lugoff, she was a daughter of the late William Alfred and Margaret Nancy Brazell McPherson. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, James Murdic Branham; daughters, Diane B. McCoy (Thomas Jr.) of Elgin, Virginia B. Fulmer (Dale) of Elgin, Cynthia B. Yount (Ralph) of Lexington, and Margaret B. Lee of Elgin; sons, William Murdic Branham of Elgin, Steven A. Branham of Elgin, and Robert David Branham (Mollie) of Elgin; sisters, Annie Mae Brazell, Shirley Kirkland (Arlin), and Mary Kirkland (Marion); 10 grandchildren, Andrea McCoy, Roxie McCoy Furniss, Jonathan Fulmer (Brittany), Jamie Fulmer, Cynthia M. Yount, Shaunee Lee, Johnny Lee, Alex Rose, Kayla Branham, and Robert “Bubba” Branham, Jr.; and 7 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Garrett and Bradley Hunter, Nicolas and Bliss Furniss, and Wayne and Gracie Peake. She was predeceased by brothers, Malcolm McPherson and Norwood “Booty” McPherson.
