CAMDEN – A celebration of life service for James Sevelle “Jim” Hill, Jr., 64, will be held Friday, July 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. Bruce Marthers and the Rev. Gordon Gainey will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or COPD Foundation. Mr. Hill died Monday, July 09, 2012. Born in Winter Haven, FL, he was a son of the late James S. Hill Sr. and Margie Douglas Hill. He was a member of the First Assembly of God and enjoyed gardening, traveling and sports. Spending time with his family is what he enjoyed most. Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Gloria Jean Morgan Hill; children, Kenny Hill (Nicole) of Flowery Branch, Ga., Greg Hill (Sheri) of Cumming, Ga., Shannon Johnson (Greg) of Melbourne Beach, FL, Craig Mauldin of Winder, Ga., Ange Landress (Jerry) of Covington, Ga., Page Fields (Dan) of Covington, Ga., and Aleashia Mauldin of Camden; brothers, Donnie Hill, Danny Hill, and Robbie Hill; and 12 grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Rick Hill and Ronnie Hill.
