LUGOFF –Funeral Mass for Robert William “Bob” Ryan, 80, will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Farewell Prayers and Final Commendation will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Father Francis Travis will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or SCOA Foundation. Mr. Ryan died Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Born in Lyon Mountain, NY, he was the son of the late Henry and Myra Brusso Ryan. He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years and served in Vietnam. He also retired from DuPont after 20 years. Mr. Ryan was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 17. He was an avid reader. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Frances Rabon Ryan; daughter, Toni Jordan (Bill) of Lugoff; son, Paul Ryan (Cindy) of Columbia; grandchildren, Steven Jordan and Patrick Jordan; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Eliott Jordan; brothers, Henry Ryan, Michael Ryan, and Frank Ryan (Sandy); sister, Bernice Sharkey, Rita Wojewodzic, Eva Bacchini, Sister Margaret Ann Ryan, SA, and Patricia Stotler; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Sister Kathleen Ryan, SA, Hildred Barton, and Bernette Golovach.
