LUGOFF – Funeral service for Jerry Thomas Jr., 56, will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Mr. Thomas died Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Jerry Thomas Sr. and Bernice Salmond Thomas. He enjoyed drawing, reading and fishing. Surviving are his children, James Thomas of Manhattan, N.Y., Sholonda Thomas of Raleigh, N.C. and Christopher Thomas of Camden; and 3 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Gregory Thomas.
