LUGOFF – Funeral service for Faye Weaver Collins, 78, affectionately known as “Momma Faye” will be held Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at El-Bethel Faith Community Church with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Stines and the Rev. Jeff Grubbs will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mrs. Collins died Sunday, August 26, 2012. Born in Florence, she was the daughter of the late Perry M. and Hannah Pha Holloman Weaver. She was a member of El-Bethel Faith Community Church. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and singing. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Garland D. Collins; sons, CMSgt (Ret’d) Don G. Collins (Trudy) of Fredericksburg, Va. And Dexter R. Collins (Betty) of Lexington; daughter, Nancy Collins of Lugoff; sisters, Jessie L. Smith of Hattisburg, Miss., Marie A. McCormick of Eastover, and Brenda D. Klicka of Cayce; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Dargan J. Weaver.
