Obituary of Birgit Vanderstraeten

BLYTHEWOOD – A memorial service for Birgit Vanderstraeten, 32, will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 1hr prior to the service at the funeral home. Chaplain Barbara Rowell will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for the boys’ college fund.

    Birgit passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018.  Born on March 1, 1986 in Belgium, she was the daughter of Johnny Vanderstraeten and Lieve De Belser. She was a dedicated and loving mother, wife and daughter. She truly lived for her family.

    Surviving is her husband, Harold Raymond Corey, III; sons, Benjamin and Ryan Corey; brother, Yannick Vanderstraeten; in-laws, Harold and Debra Corey; maternal grandparents, Willem De Belser and Suzanne Van Looy. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Eduard Vanderstraeten and Marcella Franki.
