Obituary of William T. Morris

CAMDEN – Funeral Services for William T. “Bill” Morris, 93, will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends at 1920 Forest Drive, Camden, S.C. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mr. Morris, who was married to the late Doris T. Morris, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018. Born in Nichols, S.C., he was a son of the late Dallie and Lizzie Ruth Williams Morris. Mr. Morris graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of South Carolina and taught at Antioch School and Thomas Sumter Academy. He was a member First Baptist Church, Camden. Mr. Morris enjoyed sports and was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan. The family invites you to wear your gamecock colors to the services.

    Surviving are his children, William P. Morris (Edgar Early) of Swansea, Phyllis Wainscott of Camden, Pamela A. “Pam” Morris of Camden; sister, Margie Clary of Cowpens; grandchildren, Bryan Morris, Elizabeth Wainscott, Joel Wainscott, Rachael Caulder, Lacey Hornsby; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Elva Huggins and Frances Morris.
