Obituary of Annie Ward Godbolt

LUGOFF – A funeral service for Annie E. Ward Godbolt, 77, will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. The Rev. Todd Horton and the Rev. Sean Mcelrath will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.

    Mrs. Ward passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018. Born in Dillon, S.C., she was a daughter of the late John Lawton Dean and Mandy Owen Dean. Mrs. Ward enjoyed gardening, sewing and fishing.

    Surviving are her children, Margie Rabon (Phil) of Cassatt, John William Godbolt (Brenda) of Lugoff, Houston Douglas Godbolt, Jr, (Greta) of Lugoff; sister-in-law, Carol Dean; grandchildren, Ashley Ray (Billy), Tony Rabon (Lesley), Ray Godbolt (Casey), Brandon Godbolt, Jonathan Dial, Savannah Dial, Caitlin Dial; and  great-grandchildren, Nathan Ray, Tyler Ray, Hannah Ray, Kaitlyn Ray, Haley Campbell, and Harmony Campbell. She was predeceased by her husband, Houston Godbolt, Sr., a daughter, Linda Faye Godbolt; and siblings, Clyde Hyatt, Johnny Franklin Dean, Lawton Dean and Sarah Frances Thompson.
