Selma was a wonderful lady. I played many rounds of golf with Selma. I enjoyed being with Selma very much. Selma was always so kind to all. I will miss her as I am sure her family will miss her. Selma was full of love for all of those who knew her. I am sure all of that love and kindness has been inherited by her family, to be carried forward. I am sorry for your loss. I wanted to reach out to you during this sad time to offer my condolences. While noting will completely take away your grief, by meditating on God's promises found in the Bible, you can find real hope and the strength to keep going. I have found the scripture at Isaiah 25:8 to be especially comforting. Here it promises that God "will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."

In Praise of a Very Fine Woman – Selma Your Granddaughter, my Goddaughter, Lauren called to tell me of your passing from this world… My first thought… her light still shines on in all she has left behind. For you, dear Selma, have left a legacy filled with your love and devotion to your family and God…. apparent it is in each one of your children and your children’s children as they pass to their children love. I feel so blessed to have known you and your family for all these years. Special memories of times spent together with you, the leader of the pack… skiing at Lake Wateree under bright sunny skies, fun times getting ready for that Camden Cup, glorious dinners on holidays and beyond, watching all the kids tear open all those Christmas presents!
