Obituary of Ronnie P. Hayes

KERSHAW – A funeral service for Ronnie Perry Hayes, 70, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Refuge Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Donnie Barrett will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to House of Prayer with Open Arms Church or Refuge Baptist Church.

    Mr. Hayes passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Elmer Ben and Mae Baker Hayes. Mr. Hayes was a member of Refuge Baptist Church and the Maxie Branch Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandboys.

    Surviving are his wife, Molly Hough Hayes; sons, Greg Truesdale of Elgin, Robbie Truesdale of Elgin; and 3 grandchildren, Matthew Truesdale, Zachariah Jefferson and Jasiah Jefferson. He was predeceased by a daughter, Amanda Hayes, and siblings, John Elmer Hayes and Susie Bass.
