Obituary of Josephine Abney

BETHUNE – A funeral service for Josephine Abney, 81, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Mill Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

    Mrs. Abney, wife of the late Willie James Abney, passed away Friday, January 4, 2018. Born in Bethune, she was a daughter of the late Willie Graham and Molly Eleby Graham. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and attending church, until her health prevented her from going.  

    Surviving are her children, Melva Lynn Smith of Bethune, Ronald Keith Abney (Tonda) of Kokomo, IN; a devoted grandson, Malikue Smith (Latoria) of Columbia; 4 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 siblings.
