Obituary of Betty Mae Hasty

CAMDEN – A funeral service for Betty Mae Hasty, 85, will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with a visitation 1hr prior. Burial will follow the service in Centerville Cemetery.

    Ms. Hasty passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019.  Born on November 23, 1933 in Camden, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Mendel B. Hatfield and Mary Craft Hatfield. Betty enjoyed gardening, flowers and reading.

    She is survived by her son, Allen Hasty (Faith); grandchildren, April Starr Miller (Andy), Derek Hasty (Chelle) and Justin W. Hasty (Silvia); 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Carl Mendel Hatfield, Ralph Hatfield, Fred Hatfield and John Henry Cooper.
