Obituary of Richard Edgar Karres, Sr.

CAMDEN – Funeral services for Richard Edgar Karres, Sr., 72, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Thiel-Myer Pet Adoption Center.

    Mr. Karres passed away March 4, 2019. Born in Rock Hill, he was a son of the late Peter and Louise Karres. Mr. Karres enjoyed hunting, fishing, and locksmithing.  

    Surviving are his wife, Sharon Rogers Karres of Camden; children, Richard Karres, Jr. of Camden, Teresa Karres of Elkton, VA; step-children, Daniel Benson of Ashville, N.C., Christie Smith (Bill) of S. Boston, VA; sisters, Jerri Crain of Houston, TX, Alethea Garnett (Jim) of GA, Georgia Ferguson (Danny) of Rock Hill; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Angela Robinson.
