Obituary of Michael R Kauruter, Jr.

LUGOFF – A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Michael Raymond “Pap” Kauruter, Jr., 72, will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

    Mr. Kauruter passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.  Born in Altoona, Pa., he was the son of the late Michael Raymond Kauruter Sr. and Betty Louise Rhodes Kauruter.  He was a retired millwright and enjoyed working on small engines.  He was a member of Lakeside Pullers Tractor Club.

    Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Elizabeth Dunmire Kauruter; children, Michelle Renee Kauruter Foreman (Michael), Marsha Rae Rabon (Lee), Melinda Jo Smith (Don), Maria Jean Kauruter (Steve Arnold), Dorothy Elizabeth Brandon (Keith) and Danielle Elaine Kauruter; brothers, Edward Kauruter, David Kauruter, Steve “Roscoe” Kauruter; sister, Betty Lou Frank, Diane Guyer, Linda Kauruter and Tammy Repko; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
