Obituary of Mary Ethel Jones

CASSATT – A funeral service for Mary Ethel Jones, 61, will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Broom Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Leroy Sims, Jr. will officiate.

    Ms. Jones passed away Monday, March 25, 2019. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Bogan and Mary Ethel Washington Cotton. Ms. Jones enjoyed cooking and reading.

    Surviving are her children, Lawrence Jones, Jr. (Gloria) of Cassatt and Felicia Jones of Camden, Helen Dennis (Robert), Veron Frankie Goodwin, Bogan “JoJo” Cotton (Debra); siblings, Ralph Cotton (Mae Frances), Ruby Salmond, Betty Jean Cotton, Diane Williams (Thomas), Barbara Elaine Clarkson (Anthony), and Rose Cotton; and 7 grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Mattie Mae Goodwin, Helen Bradford; a brother-in-law, David Salmond, Jr.; and brothers, Walter, George and Tim Cotton.
