Obituary of Ruth O'Quinn Coyle

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – A celebration of life service for Ruth O’Quinn Coyle, 68, will be held Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church. Bryan White and Wanda Lewis will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the fellowship hall. A private burial will be held in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church.

    Mrs. Coyle passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Henry Robert O’Quinn and Nannie Alberta Sanders O’Quinn. Mrs. Coyle was a member of Union Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

    Surviving are her sons, James Sean Vaughn (Yvonne) of Elgin; David Chandler of N.C.; daughter, Jennifer Ashley Clontz (Neil) of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Tammy O’Quinn White (Bryan) of Elgin; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, James Nathan Peay, Jr. (father of Sean Vaughn); Jimmy Graham Vaughn (father of Ashley Clontz and David Vaughn); siblings, Robert Wayne O’Quinn, Willie Lee O’Quinn, Mary O’Quinn Martin, and Henry Dwight O’Quinn.
