Obituary of Junius Lee Carraway

CASSATT– A funeral service for Junius Lee Carraway, 83, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. David Snodgrass will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Mr. Carraway, husband of the late Catherine Carraway, passed away June 16, 2019. Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Melvin Arthur Carraway and Mary Jane Stewart Carraway. Mr. Carraway attended Beaverdam Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR and fishing

    Surviving are his son, Johnnie Carraway (Kathy); daughter, Julie “Cathy” Wallace (William “Steve”); brother, Homer Carraway; sister, Jeri Thompson; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Randy Carraway; and siblings, Andrew Carraway, Glen Carraway, and Lois Trapp.
