Obituary of Richard Dean Hovis

LUGOFF – A memorial service for Richard Dean Hovis, 72, will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  Mike Pettinelli will officiate.  The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home. 

    Mr. Hovis passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.  Born in Butler, Pa., he was the son of the late Leonard B. Hovis and Anna J. Shultz Hovis. 

    Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann Kunkle Hovis; son, William Hovis (Sara); granddaughter, Taylor Hovis; sister, Shirley Schultz (Stanley) of Butler, Pa.; brother, William E. Hovis of Slippery Rock, Pa. He was predeceased by his brother, Lenny Hovis.
