Obituary of Portenia Michelle Taylor

CAMDEN – A memorial service for Portenia Michelle Taylor, 58, will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. 

    Ms. Taylor passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019.  Born in Camden, she was the daughter of Ester Adamson Johnson and the late Willie Lee White.   She was a wonderful mother and caregiver who took care of everyone’s children. She was always there when someone needed her. Portenia was known for being funny, having a big heart, a strong spirit, her perseverance and her dedication to her family.

    Surviving are her daughters, LaKeisha Gautier (Shawn) and TaKeya Reynolds (Romar Clark); grandchildren, Tori and Synia Gautier, Jai’u and Jai’layshia Drakeford, Ja’mari and Jayda Clark; siblings, Barbara Mustafa, George “Raheem” Johnson (Melodie), Vanetta Johnson, Jillian White, Willie Lee White, Jr., Charlene White, Dion White and Darnell White; god-daughter, Tyisha Blanding; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
