Obituary of Randy S. Jordan, Sr

KERSHAW – Funeral service for Randy Stephen Jordan, 69, will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Lung Association.

    Mr. Jordan passed away at home on Saturday, July 27, 2019.  Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Jack and Betty Huckabee Jordan.  He was a graduate of Baron DeKalb High School class of 1967 and received an accounting degree from Palmer College.

    Mr. Jordan served in the United States Army and served in Vietnam.  He was an employee with Jordan Construction.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 17 and enjoyed gardening, bird watching and playing the guitar and harmonica.

    Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Pamela Owens Jordan; sons, Stephen Jordan (Julie) of Kershaw and Jason Owens Jordan (Jennifer) of Camden; brother, Harold Lee Jordan of Lugoff; brother-in-law, Richard Leinster; grandchildren, Landon Jordan, Haven Jordan and Camryn Jordan; and step-grandchildren, Madison Branham, MaKayla Branham, Megan Branham and Ryan Hall.  He was predeceased by a sister, Jackie Leinster.
