Obituary of Louise Gardner

CAMDEN – A funeral service for Louise Gardner, 89, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Meegian Gossard will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.

   Mrs. Gardner, wife of the late William K “Wham” Gardner, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019. Born in Hot Springs, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Maude Frisbee Hagan. Mrs. Gardner was the former owner of the J&W Drive-In, Camden for 40 years. She was also a caregiver and enjoyed spending time with her family and walking.

    Surviving are her children, Rita Anderson (Steve); Brenda Gardner Golden; grandchildren, Bryan McManus, Savannah Wilhite; siblings, Christeen Hagan (Hick), Inez Whitson, Beatrice Harkleroad, Clayton Hagan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 7 siblings.
