Obituary of Richard Anthony Eron, II

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Richard Anthony Eron, II, 73, will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

    Mr. Eron passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019.  Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Richard Anthony Eron and Norma Catherine Hess Eron.  He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and retired from DuPont.  Rick was happy the most when he was spending time with his friends at the coffee club and driving his most beloved Cadillac.  He loved buying new gadgets and was excited about his new smart phone.

     Surviving are his son, Richard Anthony Eron, III (Tara); daughter Marci Eron; brothers, David Eron (Shelly), Jimmy Eron (Jeri), Chris Eron (Aloysia), Paul Eron and Tommy Eron (Rhonda); sister-in-law, Lorraine Eron; 4 grandchildren;  2 great-grandchildren; and his special friend, Rose O’Neal.  He was predeceased by a brother, John Eron.
