Obituary of Rosa Lee Marthers

CASSATT – Funeral service for Rosa Lee Marthers, 75, will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 -7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Marthers passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019.  Born in Orangeburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Frank Wesley and Lela Cartrette Wesley. She enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening and shopping. She was co-owner of J.G.’s Septic Service.

Surviving is her husband, Jerry Gibbs Marthers; children, Patricia Farmer (George), Darrell Young, Michael Marthers (Janice), Jerry Marthers, Jr. (Regina) and Tina Key; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; special niece, Carmen Wesley Cole of Gastonia, N.C. She was predeceased by her brother, Franklin Wesley; and a grandson, JR. Catoe.
