Obituary of Sylvia Dawn Newman

CAMDEN – A memorial service for Sylvia Dawn Newman, 57, will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Camden Ward.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.  Memorials may be made to American Kidney Foundation.

    Mrs. Newman passed away  on Sunday, September 29, 2019.  Born in Fort Jackson, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Mendel Dixon and Nancy Freeman Dixon.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

    Surviving are her children, Leo Newman (Erynn) of Travelers Rest and Jennifer Lee (Bryan) of Camden; siblings, Joey Dixon (Connie), Gary Dixon, Theresa Ham, Johnny Dixon (Janice), Vanessa Kirkley, Rock Austin (Matthew) and Keith Dixon (Sandy); and grandchildren, Kyle Lee, Hudson Newman and Brysen Lee.
