ELGIN – Funeral service with full military honors for Henry N. “Marty” Martin, 74, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial church cemetery. The Rev. Ken Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mr. Martin Died Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Born in Wythe County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Telford and Hazel Roberts Martin. He retired from the United States Army after 21 years of service having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 195. He enjoyed camping, Blue Grass music and gardening. Mr. Martin was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Cleo B. Edgin Martin; daughters, Sandra Wymer (Amos) and Terri Rhoad (Dusty); sons, Troy Miller (Renell) and Kirby Miller (Marylou); brother, Dan Martin; sister, Pandora Ross; grandchildren, Melissa, Jessica, Nikki, Amy, Dallas, Gunner, Kimberlee, Jennifer, Becky and Angie; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee, John, Christopher, Caleb, Destiny, Justin, Chasen, Tyler, Ryan and Cassy. He was predeceased by a brother, George Martin; sister, Nina Dunford; and brother, Leon Martin.
