Deb, Jen, and Carl,
My heart aches for you today....When I heard the news that your Mother became sick almost a year ago, it broke my heart to think about the days ahead that she would encounter! As Deb would call me and give me updates about her, we were both hopeful that she was gonna make it.... at least another holiday or till the end of the year! Unfortunately, it all came to an end... Way too soon, but when I think about the suffering she had to endure, she became an incredible fighter!! She fought till the end with everything she had, but the time had come for her to... LET GO!! God knew her pain and He knew she was tired.... Therefore, the fight came to a sad end!!
This is not the story that I will remember about you Mom, because after reading her beautiful life story in her obituary, I realized that this woman I knew had lived a meaningful life full of passion, purpose, and laughter surrounded her in her daily life! We can only hope that we make these kinds of memories along our journey in this life!
I will ALWAYS hold your Mom close to my heart and remember her beautiful smile as God knows she could make you laugh when you were going through some tough times, and she always had a way of making you feel welcome to be in her presence; even if she didn’t really know you that well! That is how she made me feel, and I wish I only had the chance to get to know her a little better!
Deb, Jen and Carl, The days ahead may bring sadness but remember one thing... Your Mom is HOME... She is no longer in any pain!! May her soul Rest In Peace and
