Obituary of Margie Etta Pierce
ELGIN- A graveside service for Margie Etta Pierce, 74, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Sandhill Heights Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Phillip Blankenship will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Myers-Theil Pet Adoption Center.
Ms. Pierce passed away Friday, November 1, 2019. Born in Elgin, she was a daughter of the late Curtis and Mamie Taylor Pierce. A lifelong resident of Blaney, S.C., Ms. Pierce was a member of Sandhill Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed family trips to the mountains and visits from family and friends. She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt.
Surviving are her sister, Frankie Peake; nieces, Mia Peake Harrelson (Mike), Wanda Peake Thompson (Aaron), and her name sake, Margie Lynn Peake Dara (Steven); great-nieces, Jessica Harrelson Dorr, Abigail Dara; great-nephews, L.J. Blume IV, Dawson Reese Harrelson, Keaton Riggs Harrleson, Gavin Peake Thompson, Garrett Pierce Thompson, Steven Marshall Dara, Ian Reed Dara; special cousins, Linda Ruth Fease, Cecil Taylor, Jimmy Taylor; and beloved pet, Spice
