Obituary of James Edward Brisbon

Camden- A funeral service for James Edward Brisbon, 79, will be held Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Carter will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Mr. Brisbon passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late James Arthur and Ellen Stuckey Brisbon. Mr. Brisbon was a member of Springhill United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR.

    Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Marie Magazine Brisbon; Children, Marion Brisbon (Wanda) of Elgin, Teresa Brisbon (Fred Harris) of Columbia; grandchildren, Terrance James Brisbon, Christopher Lee Brisbon; and siblings, Ida Mae Brisbane, Margaret Lee Brisbon, Frances Halley (Ransom), Mary J. Carter (Isaac), Geraldine Carter (David), Lula Williams (Jackie), Gloria Ann Brisbon, and Willie Mendal Brisbon. He was predeceased by siblings, Dorothy Carter, Herbert Brisbon and Pernell Hanford.
