LUGOFF – Funeral service for Floyd E. "Slick" Gillespie, 70, will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cedar Cemetery. Mr. Gillespie passed away at home on Sunday, December 15, 2019. Born in Chesterfield County, he was the son of the late Ellis and Fannie Marshall Gillespie. HE retired from DuPont and enjoyed bowling. He was member of Gordon Street Church of God. Surviving are his sons, Michael A. Gillespie (Maria) of Camden and Steven C. Gillespie of Ridgeway; daughter, Denise Johnson of Wilmington, DE; sisters, Barbara Thomas of Camden and Christina Gillespie of Camden; companion, Joann Harris, and her family; and 7 grandchildren.
