CAMDEN – Funeral service for Dorothy Beatrice Dawkins Flowers, 93, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service in the church fellowship center. Burial will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in Richmond County Memorial Park, Rockingham, N.C. She owned and operated the Ideal Shop in Rockingham for over 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Mary Helen Flowers of Camden and Geraldine Beer (Col. Jan Dana, US Army Ret’d); son, John W. Flowers Jr. (Joyce) of Camden; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Nellie Cox, Ruby Norton, Annie Snead, Blanche Ingle and Nettie E. Solomon; and brother, Koy Dawkins.
