I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to the entire Bell family in the loss of such a fine gentleman. I only had the opportunity to meet Mr. Bell once in recent years at Mr. Davis' funeral. My Father Bennie Ford said Duke hired Edger when he left Wateree. He will be sad to hear this. I think I remember they we’re distantly kin. Bennie is recovering from hip surgery in Lancaster. Gordon and Sally, We just heard this sad news and are so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a fine man and loved you and your family so much. We spoke to him and your mom many times over the years when they were visiting you or coming to see your children in church activities and other functions. Thus,showing their love as parents and grandparents. We last saw your Dad and Mom at Steve’s Fish Camp in Fort Mill and spoke to them there. What a sweet couple and devoted family man. Pansy and family of Edgar.......my thoughts and prayers are with your family in the passing of Edgar. Edgar was truly a servant of God--serving in the community, the church and wherever he went. Always willing to help someone with that kind, sweet smile and gentle spirit. I remember his visits with my mom and dad, and doing those helping things or just a visit with his famous teacakes.
