ELGIN – A memorial service for Mark Timothy Highfill, 51, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Highfill died Monday, October 28, 2013. Born in Charleston, S.C., he was the son of Shelvie Jean Rickett Highfill and the late Robert Clarence Highfill. Surviving are his mother, Shelvie Highfill; son, Mark Timothy Cox; daughter, Kimberly Frances Cox; sister, Darlene Frances Hill; brother, Jerry Morris Highfill; and 2 grandchildren.
