LUGOFF – A memorial service for Lawrence Gilbert Cox, Jr, 69, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Powers Funeral Home to help with final expenses. Mr. Cox passed away Monday, March 10, 2020. Born in Middletown, OH, he was a son of the late Lawrence Gilbert Cox, Sr., and Maureen Frances Patrick Beaver. Mr. Cox enjoyed reading, writing, painting and drawing. Surviving are his wife, Wanda Babb Cox; son, Jonathan Cox; siblings, Patty Baker, Kay Buhrow, Robert Cox, Mark Cox; and 4 grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons, Anthony Cox, John David Thorpe, and Mike Thorpe.
