LUGOFF – Funeral service for Gilbert Brown, 77, will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at New Life Christian Outreach Church. Private burial will be held in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Mr. Brown passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020. Born in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., he was the son of the late Quentis and Ethel Lee Ferguson Brown. He served in the United States Army and retired from Nabisco. He was a member of New Life Christian Outreach Church. Surviving are his wife, Mable Doris Jackson Brown; children, Carl Clark (Nanette), Karen McFadden (Courtney) and Andrea Keith (Steven); brother, Hendricks Brown and Alvin Brown; sisters, Olivia Brown and Mary Ann Brown; and 7 grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother, Quentis Brown Jr.; and sisters, Mildred Brown and Lillian Pugh.
