COLUMBIA – Graveside service for Hewey Legrand Dixon, 62, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Richard Cameron will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home of Gerald and Brenda Watts, 154 Precipice Rd, Camden, S.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to March of Dimes or a charity of one’s choice. Mr. Dixon died Saturday, November 16, 2013. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Boyd Billy and Mable Evans Dixon. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He was a member of the My Carolina Alumni Association and was an avid Gamecock fan. He enjoyed reading. Surviving are his sisters, Joyce Thurm of Camden, Brenda D. Watts (Gerald) of Camden and Janice Horton (Garth) of Camden; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Billy Dixon, Joe Dixon and Dewey Dixon.
