BETHUNE – Graveside service for Avis Elizabeth Baskin, 57, will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Bethel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Carolina Oncology Associates Foundation. Mrs. Baskin passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, April 4, 2020. Born in Bishopville, she was the daughter of the late Lillie Mae Wilson Slater and Sammie Roman. She retired from the South Carolina Department of Disability and Special Needs Thad E. Saleeby Development Center. She was a member of Door of Hope Ministries in Camden. She enjoyed crafting and fishing. Surviving are her husband, John Calvin Baskin; daughter, Courtney Ariel Baskin; aunt, Linda Wilson (Jimmy); siblings, Shawanda Slater, Chris Slater, Chris Roman, Angela Wilson, Shelia Wilson and Keshia Veneer
