Rebecca McLeod-Cox LUGOFF – A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Rebecca McLeod-Cox, 42, will be held Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Rebecca passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020. Born in Morganton, N.C., she was a daughter of Opal S. Harvell Cooper and the late John Milton McLeod. Rebecca enjoyed going to concerts, music and comedy, especially Benton Blount and John Reep, ethnic food, and was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan (converted from Tennessee). Surviving are her children, Mercedes, Emery and Walker; mother, Opal H. Cooper (Bill) of Lugoff; and siblings, Melissa Shattuck (Roger), Paula Parton, Frank C. McLeod (Shannon) and Hank Cooper.
