LUGOFF – On Sunday, June 28, 2020, Eduardo Martinez Jr., loving husband, a father, and a grandfather, passed away at the age of 75, after a long illness. Eduardo was born on October 30, 1944 in Penuelas, Puerto Rico. He was the son of Eduardo Sr. and Beatriz Martinez. Eduardo worked at Royal Screw Machine Products in Waterbury, CT., after 38 years, he retired as the plant manager. Eduardo Martinez was married to the love of his life, Judy Lee Martinez, to whom he was married for 55 ½ years. He is survived by his children, Carmella Martinez, Tina Bonnefond, Eduardo “Sonny” Martinez, III (Mindy), Sunilda Swann (Roy Sr.), Jeremiah Martinez (Athena), Christopher Matinez (Tran), and Luisa Dunagan (Kevin). Eduardo was PopPop to 13 grandchildren, Roy Swann Jr. (Victoria), Jonathan, Ryan, Matthew, Nicolas, Justin, Kyle, Olivia, Izabella, Seth, Peyton, and Niko. He is also survived by siblings, Brunilda Feliciano, Sary Velazques, and Sunilda Quiles, as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 1062 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m.at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the American Cancer Society.
