CASSATT – A memorial service for Albert Leo Walters, 90, will be private. Memorials may be made to Cassatt Baptist Church or Alzheimer’s foundation. Mr. Walters passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. Born in Darlington, he was the son of the late Albert Malcolm and Florrie Parker Walters. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a mechanic with Kendall Company, served as a Deputy Sheriff for the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department and most recently was a court bailiff for Kershaw County. Mr. Walters was a member of Cassatt Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, working in the yard and eating banana pudding. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Doris M. Walters; children, Randy Walters (Valerie), Dale Walters (Carlene), Karen Marcusson, Debbie Mays (Stephen) and Donna Baker; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Christine Rowell.
