CAMDEN – Funeral service for Larry Wayne Newman, 72, will be held on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 3:30-5:00p.m prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Church In The Garden. Mr. Newman passed away at Prisma Health Baptist on Friday, August 21, 2020. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Johnny and Gladys Sharpe Newman. He was the Pastor of Church In The Garden in Camden. He was an avid hunter and fisher and enjoyed restoring old cars. Mr. Newman loved and adored his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Joyce Isgett Newman; children, Lance Newman, Josh Newman, Shane Newman, Crystal Horton, Joe Johnson and Misty Walker; sisters, Sadie Aldrich, Frances Newman, Shirley Newman and Bobbie Proctor; brothers, Butch Newman and Willis Newman; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother, Walter Newman.
