CAMDEN- A funeral service for Joe Derek Garner, 59, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Vinson will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Garner passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020. Born in Camden, he was a son of Barbara E. Haynes Marsh and the late Linsey Hicks Garner. Mr. Garner was an artist and enjoyed drawing, hunting, and fishing. Surviving are his children, Joe Derek Garner II, Misty Graham (Tim); mother, Barbara Marsh; brother, Robert Garner; sisters, Dora Brown (Gerry); and 4 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Linsey Garner; step-father, Kenneth Marsh; and siblings, Vicki Watford and Linsey Garner, Jr.
