LUGOFF – Graveside service for Jessie Calvin “Cal” Hollis, 64, will be held on Monday, September 14th at 11:00 a.m. in Unity Family Life Center Cemetery. A public viewing will be held on Sunday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Hollis passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. Born in Lugoff, he was the son of the late Jessie Hollis and Maybelle Brown Richardson Hollis. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Unity United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his longtime special friend, Dinell Wood; son, Travis Hollis; step-son, Derrick Bennet (Melody); siblings, Susie Spriggs, James A. Hollis, David Hollis, Ida Jones, Jacqueline Williams and Joyce Johnson (Manzie); grandchildren, Elijah Hollis, Travis Hollis, Jr., Kenneth Hollis and Hayden Bennett; and aunt, Louise Williams. He was predeceased by brothers, George Edward Hollis and John Benjamin Hollis.
