I was so hopeful to be with you today. The flight I use into S.C. now leaves late day rather than early morning. Please accept my long distance sympathy and hugs. I have so very many fond memories of Jan as well as all of your family. I can not reflect on one of you without a smile crossing my face regarding all of you. I believe that is what family really means. Your husband and dad set and modeled that legacy for each of you. Always a smile upon his face, family first, so very proud of each of you, always helping at church, and never forgetting to lending a concerned ear to others followed by a prayers. My prayers will remain with each of you. Be patient with yourself and one another. We all grieve and heal differently, and that is ok. Give yourself permission to do so. God loves you each just as he created you, including a dash of Jan McMullen to carry with you forever❤️

This saddens me so working with him was a joy. We had fun and when roads were bad he would stay at my house and we would talk. He had such a great family and he always talked about them.
