LUGOFF – A service to celebrate the life of Jessica Lane Hinson, 28, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. John Wesley Culp will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Jessica passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of Deborah Armentrout Hinson and the late Larry Douglas “Slinky” Hinson. She had a passion for dancing and was a former dance instructor with Patterson School of Dance. She worked for Lugoff Ford and was an avid Gamecock fan. Jessica was truly an inspiration to many. During her battle, she always said “quitting is not an option”. A loving mother, daughter, sister and friend, she will be greatly missed. Surviving are her daughter, Stella Addison Baker; mother, Debbie Hinson of Lugoff; sister, Stacie Marie Hinson of Jacksonville, Fla.; and maternal grandmother, Peggy Armentrout. She was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Graham Armentrout; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Kathleen Hinson.
