Obituary of Maggie Joe Green

CAMDEN – Graveside service for Maggie Joe Green, 66, will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Jamestown Road Church of God Cemetery.  The Rev. Curtis Murph will officiate.  The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.

    Ms. Green passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020.  Born in Bishopville, she was the daughter of Eloise Williams Joe and the late Willie Joe.  She retired from DuPont where she worked in BCF Spinning for 38 years.  She was a faithful member of Jamestown Road Church of God where she served as treasure of the Pastor’s Aide Committee, choir member and youth leader assistant.  She served as assistant to the S.C. State Presbytery Dietitian Committee; and was a member of the Christian Women Connection.  She was a competitive bowler for the DuPont bowling league.

    Surviving are her son, Mandrell Green (Celeste) of Camden; siblings, Louise Stuckey, Willa Boyd, Blonde Richardson, Alfred Joe, Patricia Kirkland, Alfreda Micken, Debbie Quick, Tyrone  Joe, and Tess Fullard; and 2 grandchildren.  She was predeceased by brother, Earl Joe.
