Obituary of Dr. Thomas E. Brandt, Jr.

COLUMBIA – Funeral service for Dr. Thomas Eugene Brandt, Jr., 64, will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, Elgin.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

    Dr. Brandt passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Born in Salisbury, N.C. on January 12, 1956, he was a son of the late Thomas Eugene Brandt, Sr. and Wanda Earnhardt Brandt. Dr. Brandt graduated from North Rowan High School, Salisbury, N.C., and then completed his undergraduate degree at UNCW. He attended WV School of Osteopathic Medicine and then Vanderbilt, completing his residency and fellowship in pain management. Teb was a humble man and provider to everyone. He was a hero to many and beloved by all. His tremendous and steadfast faith in Christ led his family through the good and bad times and was the cornerstone of his practice.

   Surviving are his wife, Cindy Sutton Brandt; children, Jacob Andrew Brandt and Sarah Katherine Brandt; brother, Mark Brandt (Diane);  mother-in-law, Helen Baker; brother-in-law, Curtis Sutton; and a host of other family and friends.
