Obituary of Maxine B. DeBruhl

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Maxine B. DeBruhl, 87, will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home..  Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation.

    Mrs. DeBruhl, wife of the late Arnold “Buck” DeBruhl, passed away at KershawHealth on Saturday, January 23, 2021.  Born in Buena Vista, Va., she was the daughter of the late Eugene Franklin and Bruce Bailey.  She was a former manager of Catoe Department Store.  She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

    Surviving are her daughter, Cindi Thompson (Wayne); son, A. Ranz DeBruhl; sisters, Nancy Watts and Ann Salter (Bill); 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her second husband, Charles Armentrout; son, Arnold Eugene DeBruhl; brothers, William Bailey, John Bailey, Robert Bailey and Larry Bailey; and sister, Lillian Baker.
